Hameed scores late goal to draw match with Maldives

Karachi: After conceding a goal early in the second half, Pakistan managed to equalize the score in injury time with a goal from Muhammad Hameed against host Maldives in the first of two international friendly games at National Stadium in Male.

According to the information made available here, both the teams failed to score in the first half of the match. However, in the third minute of the second half, Assadullah Abdulla helped the home team secure a 10 lead.

But the visitors, who have won both of their matches recently in Nepal against the hosts, managed to avert the defeat with Hameed scoring in the second minute of the injury time.

The second match between the two teams will be played on Thursday at the same venue.
