Reporters Without Borders’ 2022 Press Freedom Map Hong Kong has registered the steepest fall in an international Press Freedom Index ever this year. The city was ranked 80th last year and dropped 68 places to 148th among 180 countries in 2022. International watchdog, Reporters without Frontier (RSF), has monitored press freedom across the world through its index for two decades.
