Independence Day celebrations at KU

Karachi: Karachi University here Tuesday organized an Independence Walk at the campus in connection with Independence Day celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, KU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser said: “Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a state which came into being after immense struggle and sacrifices.” He said it is dire need to activate the youth of Pakistan especially those who are studying in the universities because due to a broader vision they can formulate a uniform strategy that can lead Pakistan towards the ultimate part of success.

The walk organized by Students’ Advisor Prof. Dr. Ansar Rizvi and Campus Security Advisor Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi was participated by faculty members and a large number of enthusiastic students.

Stating from the University post office, the walk ended up in a pavilion in front of the Central Cafeteria where the faculty members and students marked the day with National Anthem and cake slicing ceremony.
