Iran-Pak gas pipeline project to bring prosperityMarch 16, 2013
KARACHI: Naseem Anwar, Senior Vice Chairman, SITE Association of Industry on Saturday congratulated Asif Ali Zardari, President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan upon ground breaking ceremony of Pak-Iran gas pipeline project held on 11th March, 2013.
He said that this courageous step taken by President of Pakistan demands all of us to congratulate him and the nation on this great achievement. He expressed his sentiments that we are not afraid of any sanctions as we have already paid a big price in the war against terrorism and USA has not given us any benefits although due to war our infrastructure has been devastated and our poor innocent civilians & soldiers are killed, our economy is ailing and it would have been peanuts for USA to rescue us but it did not came forward with concrete steps.
The government of Pakistan is going to initiate this important project in view of the energy requirements. This project is being commissioned purely to meet economic needs of our country and it is being executed by two sovereign states of the region. This project will bring economic prosperity, provide better opportunities to the people and help defeat militancy in the region.
He further said that we should never compromise on our national sovereignty and all necessary actions be taken for the betterment of our beloved country and our people.
“We stand firmly with Asif Ali Zardari, President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and salute him for going forward on the project and sincerely hope the next government will not stop this very important project as this project is imperative for our economy,” he further said.
