Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr. Salim Mohammed Al-Malik met with the new Director General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, at the ISESCO headquarters in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to improve the outstanding cooperative relations between ISESCO and ALECSO and the prospects for their development and expansion in the areas of common interest so as to serve the development goals of both organizations’ Arab member states.

Afterward, the two general directors co-chaired a working session attended by officials from both organizations, during which they discussed the proposed areas of cooperation for 2020-2021.

It is noteworthy that the two organizations signed a cooperation agreement in 1984, renewed in 2013, under which a considerable number of programs and activities in education, science, culture and communication were carried out for the benefit of member states.
