ISESCO participates in International Literature Festival; opening of Expo-2017 in Kazakhstan

Almaty, Kazakhstan (IINA) � The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) participated in the International Literature Festival held on June 12-16 in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest metropolis, under the theme of “The Spiritual Horizon of Society: A Steady Development of the World”.

ISESCO representative at the festival Askar Taziev, from the Directorate of External Relations and Cooperation, said in a speech that the Organization is working within the framework of its action plans and areas of competence to promote common human values. He praised the selection of the festival’s theme, which is considered the topic of the hour given the close link between dialogue, security, peace and comprehensive sustainable development.

On June 9, the ISESCO official attended the Expo-2017 Opening Ceremony, organized in the capital Astana under the theme of “Future Energy”, with the participation of 115 countries and 22 international organizations.
