Jail Chowrangi flyover road to be opened soon

KARACHI: KMC Administrator Saqib Soomro has said that right way loop, ramp and road of Jail Chowrangi Flyover will be opened for traffic by the end of next month.

He said this while being briefing about construction works of Jail Chowrangi Flyover. Director General Technical Services Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Project Director Shabihul Hassan and other concerned officers were present.

He said that completion of this project would facilitate traffic coming from Shaheed-e-Millat Road, University Road and New M.A. Jinnah Road whereas the road being constructed along the flyover will enable traffic going from Jail Chowrangi to University Road pass through this thoroughfare without going on flyover.

Administrator Karachi said that complete project of Jail Chowrangi Flyover was being carried out with a cost of Rs1333 million in which construction of flyover would be carried out costing Rs 965 million whereas 96 flats for residence of jail administration including I.G. residence and I.G office were being constructed with a cost of Rs190million.
