JI concerned over prevailing situation in BangladeshMarch 12, 2013
KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami JI Sind on Tuesday condemned the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, the third largest country of Muslim world, which has been gripped by chaos as the government of Shaikh Haseena under Indian pressure is pushing its citizens towards division and conflict.
It was stated in a resolution presented at a party meeting presided over by Provincial Ameer JI Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui at Quba Auditorium. The resolution said dominating with 90 percent of Muslim population, Bangladesh is under government pressure facing worst ethnic and anti Islam situation. It said external investment in billions is making mockery of Islam, Islamic educations and leaders of religious parties.
It said police along with secular and Indian Pro-Awami League is committing atrocities with citizens. Resolution said JI Sind assures its support to citizens of Bangladesh and condemn the unfair policies of its government.
It said humanities especially Islamic word should show its contribution to stop the violence and upcoming worse situation of Bangladesh and spectator behaviour of government of Pakistan is regrettable, it said.
