Jirga settle tribal dispute

Shikarpur, Sindh: The tribal dispute between Sadhaya and Dahani communities was resolved in a Jirga presided over by Mir Manzoor Khan Panhwar at Kot Durrani, Garhiyasin.

According to Jirga settled compensations for killing 20 people and injuring 15 others belonging to both the parties during the long dispute.

Jirga fined Rs20.2750million to both the parties. The Dahani community would pay penalty of Rs10.65million and Sadhaya community Rs9.625million.

Amongst others, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, Sardar Himmat Ali Khan Kamariyo, Agha Maseehuddin Khan Durrani, Meer Babal Khan Bhayo, Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Jalbani and Sardar Akbar Ali Khan Buledi were nominated counsels by the rival parties.
