Jordanian King, UAE defense college delegation discuss mutual cooperation

Amman (OIC-UNA) – Jordanian King Abdullah II on Sunday received a delegation representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Defense College for talks on prospects of mutual cooperation and the latest Mideast developments.

At the meeting which took place at the Al Husainiyah Palace here, the King highlighted the “longstanding and historic” ties between Jordan and the UAE, and lauded the advanced levels in the various domains, Petra reported.

The meeting also touched on Mideast crises, and current endeavors aimed to find a political solution to them. Regional and global anti-terrorism efforts in accordance with a holistic strategy were also discussed.

The visiting delegation hailed Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of King Abdullah, to serve Arab causes and to realize peace and security in the region.
