Journalists visit Idara-e-Noor HaqApril 1, 2013
KARACHI: A delegation of the presidents of the different press clubs of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa KPK province and senior journalists visited the IdaraeNoor Haq and met with the JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mahenti.
The delegation was led by the President Peshawar Press Club Nasir Hussain while comprising President Dir Press Club Hanif Malik, General Secretary Malakand Press Club Gauhar Ali, senior journalists Shah Faisal Afghani, Tahir Afridi, Umer Rayyaz and others.
JI Karachi General Secretary Naseem Siddiqui, Naib Ameer NaeemurRehman, Information Secretary Zahid Askari, Deputy Information Secretary NazeerulHasan and Rayyaz Siddiqui were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahenti said that the problem of Karachi and Khyber was same, as the terrorism was at large in both the areas. Highlighting the situation of the city, JI Karachi Chief said that the city was quite peaceful before 80s and the people were living with brotherhood, love and affection, but when a party was come into being on ethnic basis in mid of 80s, the city had changed in battle field.
Mahenti said that the extortion mafia was enjoying the patronisation of PPP, ANP and MQM while the culture of gunny bag packed bodies ‘boriband’ was introduced by MQM.
He further said that the law and order situation was same in Karachi and KPK, where the innocent people are being targeted in drone attacks, bomb blasts and other incidents. “The peace would only be restored by following the teachings of Quran and Sunnah”, he added.
