Judicial academy of PHC is the best academy, CM

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the newly established judicial academy of Peshawar High Court is one of the best and sophisticated academy equipped with modern facilities and technologies which imparts training on modern and scientific lines not only to judges and lawyers but all the people engaged in the dispensations of justice.

He has termed the establishment of an FM radio station in the academy as an innovative impressive and unique step and said that the provincial government is also planning to launch such a radio station in police department to give awareness to the public regarding traffic rules and issues.

He expressed these views during his visit to the newly established judicial academy in the old session court building Peshawar along with chief justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Dost Mohammad Khan on Monday.

The Chief Minister visited various parts of the academy including digital library, Computer Lab, Research Wing, Conference Room, Auditorium, Video Conferencing and others. He admired the beautification, renovation, cleanliness and maintenance of the academy and lauded the efforts of justice Dost Mohammad Khan for the establishment of the academy.

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mohammad Shahzad Arbab, Registrar Peshawar High Court, Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director General, Judicial Academy and other high ups of the judiciary were also present on the occasion.

On this occasion Director General, Judicial Academy, Hayat Ali Shah briefed the visiting dignitaries about the establishment, mission, facilities, achievements, future programs, needs and other aspects of
the academy.

He told that besides providing training to judges, lawyers and all other stack holders of judicial process, the academy held seminar, workshops and lectures on subjects related to law , judicial proceedings, law ethics and human rights. The silent feature of the academy is its research based training programs, he further told.

The Chief Minister termed the establishment of the academy as a mile stone achieved by the Peshawar High Court to realign and strengthen the judicial system on contemporary lines. He also termed the establishment of the FM radio station as a revolutionary step to give awareness
to the general masses about their rights and responsibilities.
