KARACHI: Secretary General Jamiat UlemaeIslam JUI Sindh Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro said on Saturday that the government is not holding consultations with opposition parties for formation of caretaker setup in Sindh, which is an act of prepoll rigging.

He expressed these views while talking to JUI spokesmen Muhammad Aslam Ghori on telphone phone from Qatar. He urged government to take all opposition parties in parliament or out of it into confidence in Sindh for caretaker setup like it has done at federation level.

Soomro said government had badly failed to deliver in every sector of life during the last five years tenure, losing confidence of people day by day. He said now the rulers has started trying to get votes through illegal means for next polls.

He said the role of Election Commission is also being remarked as dubious day by day after its failure in ensuring new delimitations and electoral lists correction process in Sindh.

He said his party had welcomed the appointment of Fakhurrdin G Ibrahim as Chief Election Commissioner with open arms but now every body is raising questions on its impartiality.
