Karachi: Secretary General of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam, Sindh and former Senator Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro alleged the Election Commission of Pakistan and Caretaker Government for defeat to the democracy in the province.

“The election game played in Sindh is a black scar on the face of Election Commission,” he said in a statement on Monday.

“The polling agents were kidnapped and the Thapa (Stamp) Mafia was active in entire province,” he said adding that his party rejects the results of election and demands re-election.

Soomro referred to Ps-2, Ps-3, PS-6, PS-17, PS-36, PS-65, NA-198, NA-207, NA-214, NA-238, NA-239 constituencies and the incidents taken place there and claimed that JUI candidates had won the polls.

He said the elections in Sindh have become disputed and should be held afresh.
