JWP welcomes census decision

QUETTA: Jamhoori Watan Party has welcomed decision to conduct population census in the country. A spokesman of the party said here Sunday that prior to census withdrawal of Afghan refugees is necessary.

Spokesman said that following clear orders of Supreme Court tens of thousands of Bugti displaced Bugti tribesmen from Sui and Dera Bugti during military operation should be brought back to their areas. Losses they suffered during military operation should be compensated so that they could be able to play their role for progress and stability of Dera Bugti and country.

JWP said that Prime Minister and his party has made several promises for dignified rehabilitation of Bugti refugees.

It said the way time for carrying out census is being given it is necessary Prime Minister should announce dignified rehabilitation of Bugti refugees prior to census or such a census would not be accepted and party would protest against it and also approach apex court.
