Karachiite deprived of taxi car by couple

RATODERO: A taxi driver of Karachi was deprived of his new car by a couple on Monday morning near Pardesi Petrol Pump in outskirts of Larkana and within the jurisdiction of Mahotta Police station.

According to SHO Khalid Abbasi of Mahotta Police Station, an unknown couple hired a taxi of driver Lakhmir Khan s/o Kamal Khan Buledi from Karachi for Madeji in Shikarpur district late last night. As the taxi reached outside Larkana, the couple had morning tea and offered the same to the driver. After 15 to 20 minutes, the driver started sleeping and when they reached near the petrol pump, the taxi driver fell unconscious due to which the couple took away the car with them and fled kicking the driver out of the car.

Incidentally, all police force of the district was busy in conducting searching raids in the katcha area for arresting criminals under the command of SSP Larkana. The area people informed Mahotta police which shifted the driver to hospital for treatment. So far the taxi car has not yet either been traced or recovered but the intoxicated driver regained his conscious in Casualty of the Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, and narrated the whole story to the Mahotta police and Journalists. Mahotta police have started further probe into the incident.
