KMC Administrator instruct IT Department to digitize all land record

KARACHI: KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has directed Information Technology Department to computerize all the records pertaining to KMC and KDA Land Department and also secure the documents through scanning.

He said the Rising Karachi Program and Citizens Complaints Management System 1339 must also be made more comprehensive and effective so that citizens could avail more benefits from these programs.

He was addressing a meeting of Information Technology Department which was attended by Sr. Director I.T Masood Alam and other directors.

On this occasion Administrator Karachi also directed to install tracking system in KMC vehicles specially fire tenders, ambulances, city warden mobiles and garbage lifting and shifting vehicles so that all information about their whereabouts and locations could be ascertain.

He also directed IT Department to release the non technical staff deputed on I.T Department from other departments and exchange this staff with trained employees.

He instructed IT Department to take measures for operating various computer programs through its own staff which were presently outsourced to different companies.

The administrator Karachi said this would save millions of rupees therefore this must done by April this year.

He said the officers and lower staff of I.T Department must be trained so that their professional abilities could be enhanced and they could operate the projects efficiently.

In the meeting which was called for a briefing regarding I.T Department the Administrator was informed about the present and future projects of I.T Department.

The administrator Karachi directed the officers to implement all these projects with honesty so that citizens could avail better benefits of these projects.
