KMC administrator visits Jail Chowrangi Flyover

KARACHI: KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that the construction work of right way of Jail Chowrangi Flyover along with its loop and ramp will be completed in next two months which would provide convenience to traffic coming from Shaheed-d-Millat Road, University Road and New MA Jinnah Road whereas the road which is being constructed along side this flyover would enable the traffic coming from Jail Chowrangi to access University Road without using the flyover.

He said this on Tuesday during a visit of the construction works of the Jail Chowrangi Flyover. He was accompanied by D.G Technical Niaz Soomro, Project Director and other concerned officers.

Zaidi said the whole project of flyover would cost Rs1333million which include the construction of residential apartments for jail staff and the I.G Office inside the boundary of Central Prison. He said this project was being carried out with the financial help from Sindh government and its construction work being done on round the clock basis.

The administrator said that all efforts were made to complete the development projects on time and the technical services department was directed to ensure good quality in the construction works. He expressed hope that completion of such development projects would provide lot of facilities and convenience to people in Karachi.
