KMC to assist welfare body of special personsMay 8, 2013
Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that special people were a part of our society and leading life with self respect was not only their right but also we should provide such people with important opportunities.
He said this during a meeting with the delegation of Disable Welfare Association in his office.
On this occasion Sr. Director Culture Sports & Recreation Muhammad Rehan Khan, Sr. Director HRM Shoaib Waqar, Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, Director Lines Area Project Shariq Ilyas, Director Culture Khursheed Shah were present.
He said the employment quota for disable people in KMC was being followed properly and disable people were provided with jobs as per their capabilities so that they could be useful citizens after getting respectable jobs.
He said that we would have to take effective measures for education, training and welfare of such people.
He said that if Allah deprives such people from any ability, provides them with other capabilities and on the bases of those capabilities they acquire distinction in the society.
He said that disable people with their marvellous performance in different sectors of life were working successfully and having significant status in the society.
Administrator said the people who support such disables Allah is pleased with them and gives his blessings.
He said the establishment of centre in Gulistan-e- Jauhar under the arrangements of Disable Welfare Association was a worth admiring step and this centre would improve their skills and capabilities.
Administrator on the recommendation of Disable Welfare Association announced to give a vehicle to this centre and gave a cheque of Rs5 Lac to the General Secretary of Disable Welfare Association.
He said those parents were worth appreciating who cradle special children and make them useful citizens after education and training.
Administrator Karachi said that KMC along with the development works hold tournaments and competitions for special people so that they could be encouraged and get prominent place in society.
