Labour Day observes AJK with pledge to work for welfare of working class

Muzaffarabad: In Azad Jammu and Kashmir Labour Day will observe throughout the state today Wednesday with a pledge to work for the welfare of the working class.

It would be a public holiday. Functions‚ rallies and seminars will be held by different political and labour organizations in the state to pay tributes to the labours of Chicago who laid down their lives for their rights in 1886.

In the state capital Muzaffarabad‚ a function will be held today which will be addressed by AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed‚ cabinet Ministers‚ labour leaders and peoples of different shades of life. Functions relating to the Labor Day would also be held at all the district headquarters of the State.
