Malaysia-Pakistan palm oil trade fair in January

KARACHI: The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) is organizing the 3rd Malaysia–Pakistan palm oil trade fair & seminar in Karachi from 15 to 17 January, 2014.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Meeting Pakistan’s Emerging Oils & Fats Diversity Through Malaysian Palm Oil”. The Honorable Minister of Plantation Industries, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas of Malaysia will officially open the event.

The conference will be a platform for presentations from leading international and local speakers. The list of prestigious speakers includes Thomas Milkie, Oil World and David Jackson, LMC, Dr. Yusof Basiron, MPOC, Dr. ChooYeun May, MPOB.

The seminar will also provide opportunities for oils and fats manufacturers, traders, economists and senior government officials of both Malaysia and Pakistan to further enhance and strengthen the palm oil trade in Pakistan.

Faisal Iqbal, Regional Manager, MPOC Pakistan, said: “The two previous editions of this international conference provided an excellent forum for the exchange of information, ideas and discussions among palm oil experts and the industry players from both Malaysia and Pakistan.”

“The fair & seminar will once again provide an exciting line-up of seminar papers, investment and business networking opportunities and a platform for the showcasing of various products and services,” he added.
