Meeting of PCC

Peshawar: A meeting to discuss the agreed decisions of the Working Groups to the Project Coordination Committee PCC for its approval and also to resolve the issue related to ADR held today in the Conference Room of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department Civil Secretariat Peshawar.

The meeting discussed deliberately all aspects of capacity building support, structural changes, procurement support, awareness raising support and conducive environment pertaining to investigations, community policing, gender responsive policing, prosecution, correctional services, alternate dispute resolution ADR, communications, baseline survey and selection of police stations and police coordination.

Certain decisions were taken by the chair to remove all the bottlenecks and obstacles arising out and noticed by the project coordination committee.

He emphasized upon the participants of the meeting to resolve all the issues amicably and on war footing basis, so that the noble cause of the committee is achieved in its true spirit for smooth running of the aforementioned sectors, which will go a long way to bring positive improvements and betterment involving public and national interests and which will also be proved instrumental in providing visible relief to the general public.

Chaired by the Home Secretary Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, the meeting was attended by members of the committee i.e. I.G. Prisons, DG Prosecution, representatives of the Provincial Police Officer, Planning and Development Department, Team Leader, support programme of Coffey International and Deputy Secretary Admin / Director Provincial Public Safety and Police Complaints Commission.
