Met Office forecasts heavy rain, floods in KP

Peshawar: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued fresh warning that heavy rain fall is expected in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In its daily warning report, the Met Department said that widespread rain / thunder shower was expected in Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi , Malakand and Hazara Division from Tuesday evening to Thursday morning 13th to 15th August.

Meanwhile the Provincial Disaster Management Authority PDMA has warned the people that this weather system could generate flash floods in the urban nullahs and high to highest floods in various rivers of the above mentioned divisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Moreover, heavy rain with heavy shower is also expected in D.I.Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Karak Divisions. The PDMA has requested all the concerned authorities of the all above mentioned districts to remain alert and take precautionary measures during this period.
