Minister visits development schemes

KARACHI: Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Minister for Works & Services, Sindh, visited development schemes of Sehwan and the Shrine of Qalandar Shahbaz here on Friday.

Bijarani also visited Syed Abdullah Shah institute of health Sciences where he was given detailed briefing on the development work in Sehwan, including the ongoing development work of the Shrine of Shahbaz Qalandar. Subsequently, Bijarani personally visited the Shrine and impressed upon timely completion of the development work of the Shrine. Besides, the Minister visited the roads that have been constructed in collaboration with the JICA, along with engineers and other technicians.

He was partially satisfied with the quality of the material that has been used in the construction of roads. He had also ordered re-construction of one of the roads that was deficient and also stopped release of funds to the contractors.

When asked about the rumours about formation of forward bloc in the PPP, Mr. Bijarani said that all such rumours were baseless and that all the members of the PPP are united under the leadership of President Asif Al Zardari.
