Minister visits Gov degree college mardan

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health and Higher Education, Dr. Farrukh Seir carried out visit to Govt. Degree College for Boys Toru Mardan on other day. Dr. Khalid Khan, Additional Secretary Higher Education Department and Muhammad Zaman Marwat, Deputy Chief Planning Officer, Higher Education Department also accompanied him.

The Minister Higher Education held a meeting with principal and staff of the college and inquired about the problems of the college. The Principal apprised the Minister about the problems faced by the college.

The Minister Higher Education assured the Principal GDC, Toru that he would make all out efforts to resolve genuine issues of the college within the parameters of the available budget.

The Minister issued directives to the department to resolve issue regarding shortage of teaching staff in the college. He also directed the Principal GPGC Mardan to resolve the issue of college transport on priority basis. The Minister also announced two scholarships for FA, FSc students out of his own pocket.
