More water filter plants needed in KarachiJuly 3, 2013
Karachi: To check the waterborne diseases and provide citizens clean drinking water more filter plants are needed in Karachi, especially its poor slums, said Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan president ex-mayor Karachi Niamatullah Khan Advocate.
In a meeting to discuss water filter plants issue here Wednesday, he said Al-Khidmat water filter plants are successfully running in Landhi, Zafar Town, Gulberg, New Karachi, Rerhi Goth, Sachal Goth, Bhains Colony, Golimar, Moosa Lane, North Karachi and Orangi town. He said thousands of people get clean water from these plants.
He stressed the need to set up more such plants in the city to cater the needs of clean drinking water of Karachiites.
