Multidisciplinary Medical Conference on Friday

KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Karachi is organizing a three-day Multidisciplinary Medical Conference from 24 to 26 May 2013 at Karachi Sheraton Hotel.

The conference will be inaugurated by President PMA Centre Dr Azhar Jadoon. It will address the issues relating to HIV AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and other infection diseases. A special session will be held to discuss the failure of family planning in Pakistan.

Dr Jeffery Smith from John Hopkins University will give update about maternal deaths in under developed countries because of bleeding during pregnancy. There will be special session on cancers of breast, ovaries and cervix. Latest management of different cancer will be discussed in detail and options available in Pakistan.

A session on backache and joint injuries will also be organized for young postgraduate medical student. The conference will have two different sessions on Hepatitis and the role of medical staff in prevention of Hepatitis in Pakistan. This medical conference will also have papers on blindness in children.
