Murder case: Man awarded death sentenceMarch 5, 2014
KARACHI: A session’s court on Wednesday awarded death sentence to the key accused, Zulfiqar, in Lal Mohammad murder case, while the other three accused were handed seven years imprisonment each.
Zulfiqar, and three co-accused Abdul Rehman, Hari Chand and Ghaniso were found guilty of killing Lal Mohammad, the servant of accused Zulfiqar in Bahadurabad, Karachi.
District and Sessions Judge (East) Arshad Noor pronounced the verdict after recording evidence of witnesses and final arguments from both sides.
The court awarded death sentenced to the key accused Zulfiqar. He was also fined RS100,0000 to be paid victim’s heirs. Three co-accused were awarded seven years imprisonment each. They were also fined Rs100,000 each to be paid his heirs.
Lal, was shot dead in Bahadurabad in June December 2010. The case was registered with the Bahadurabad police, who arrested the accused.
