Chakwal: Additional district and session Judge Chakwal Ch. Anwar Ahmed reopened the murder case against ex MPA and ordered SHO Kallar Kahar police station to record the statement of the petitioner and the ex MPA must be included in the FIR.

Imran Haider filed a petition before the court through his council Khawaja Khalid Farooq advocate and contended that in December 2008 his wife was killed due to firing of the supporters of the MPA Malik Tanveer Aslam who came to inaugurate a road at Sheti.

MPA Malik Tanveer Aslam was himself supervising the firing. He further contended that FIR was registered but no investigation has been by the police due to the pressure of MPA Malik Tanveer Aslam Sheti.

The Malik Zahid Aslam advocate and 4 other lawyers appeared on behalf of Malik Tanveer Aslam and pleaded that a bogus occurrence was made and the brother of the deceased Masooma Bibi recorded his statement before the investigation officer and he denied the FIR. The judge after hearing the arguments ordered SHO Kallar Kahar police station to reopen the case and start investigation according to the merit.
