My government wishes to have business and trade partnership with foreign investors, CM

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that his government wishes to have business and trade partnership with foreign investors and donor agencies based on mutual trust rather to depend only on foreign aid. This he said while talking to an American delegation who called on him at his office on Monday.

Pervez Khattak said that a trust worthy and efficient government would be set up in the province through transparency, devolution of powers at grass root level and an effective system of accountability and thus the foreign investors and international agencies would feel comfort and ease to have in dealings with the provincial government. He said that besides all types of facilities and privileges, the provincial government would provide full security to the investors.

The chief Minister expressed the wish that investors of American and other parts of the glob should invest in industrial and social sector and in the construction of infrastructure in the province.

The provincial government has constituted working groups consisting of professional and technocrats of both the public and private sectors for all the departments to implement the reform agenda; Khattak informed the delegation and added that the provincial government was committed to devolve powers to grass root levels which would empower the local community to make administrative and financial decisions.
