Nadia for improving human rights laws

KARACHI: Coordinator to Sindh Chief Minister on Human Rights, Nadia Gabol, has said that there was need to strengthen and improve human rights laws. The country faces serious challenges due to slackness in implementation of laws, she said while speaking to media at a program in Bilqees Edhi Home, North Nazimabad. She said it was mandatory to protect human rights in order to pull country out of terrorism and extremism.

She said: “There is also need to raise awareness among civilized society about human rights. It is also must to empower women, children and minority people so that civilized society could be established.”

“Today is the day of raising voice for the welfare of vulnerable segment of the society. Stern actions should be against Karo-Kari rites and child labour,” Nadia concluded.
