Newly appointed Governor speaks

QUETTA: Newly appointed Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said biggest problem facing the province today is of law and order. Special attention would be paid on this issue with provincial government.

He was speaking to a private TV channel.

Muhammad Khan Achakzai is elder brother of PMAP Chairman Mahmud Khan Achakzai. He has been appointed provincial governor by President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He is a former bureaucrat and non political figure of Balochistan.

Muhammad Khan Achakzai said excesses have been made with Balochistan during the previous regimes. Now we would tackle all maters in league with federal government through consultation and consent so that law and order problems could be resolved.

He aid presently situation is very bad. Being constitutional head he would hold talks with federal government on the issue of Balochistan. He would extend full cooperation to provincial government.
