Newly elected MPA Shah Faisal Khan joins PTISeptember 2, 2013
Peshawar: Newly elected member Provincial Assembly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Hangu, Shah Faisal Khan has formally joined Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf.
He made an announcement to this effect in a call on meeting with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak at his office on Monday. A forty member’s delegation of the elites of Hangu also accompanied the MPA.
It is worth mentioning here that Shah Faisal is the brother of Ex-MPA from Hangu Farid Khan who was martyred in an incident of firing soon after being elected MPA is the last general elections. Faisal Khan won the bi elections as an independent candidate from the constituency.
MPA Faisal Khan decided to join PTI on the wish and demand of the delegation. Expressing his views on the occasion MPA Shah Faisal Khan said that he would strive to carry on the mission of his late brother; and the main aim of his politics was to serve the down trodden segment of the society, and therefore, has decided to join PTI as a proper political platform.
He reposed full confidence in the leadership of Pervez Khattak and Imran Khan; and assured the Chief Minister that he will extend all type of support to the provincial government in the implementation of its change agenda.
On this occasion members of the delegation apprised the Chief Minister of the problems and difficulties faced by the people of the area, and discussed with him matters related to the welfare of the people and development of the area.
On the complaint of the delegation; the Chief Minister directed the authorities of health department to submit a report regarding the delay of work on the construction of the new building of District Headquarters Hospital Hangu. He also issued instructions to the concerned quarters to take necessary measures regarding the construction of public parks and new housing schemes in Hangu.
On the demand of the delegation to establish Hangu Development Authority, the Chief Minister issued directives to the authorities of local government to look into the feasibility of the matter and submit a report to this effect.
He assured the delegation of allocating funds for a new water supply scheme in Hangu in the next financial budget and directed the authorities of public Health engineering department to carryout survey of the scheme.
The Chief Minister also assured the delegation of allocating funds in the next annual budget for the establishment of a degree college, a technical college and the repair of roads in the district. On the demand of the delegation the Chief Minister directed the high ups of higher education departments to submit a summary to upgrade a degree college of the area to a post graduate college.
Talking to the delegation the Chief Minister said that the provincial government was working on a new local government system in which almost all the administrative and financial powers would be devolve to the grass root level empowering the local community as promised by the party adding that with the new local government system all the problems of the people will be solved at local level and they would not need to visit MPA and MNAs for the solution of their problems.
