Nicaragua to open embassy in Palestine: FM Malki

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki said Wednesday that the Republic of Nicaragua has decided to open an embassy in the State of Palestine.

Malki said in a press statement that Nicaragua appointed Mazen Khuffash, a Nicaraguan citizen of Palestinian origin, as its ambassador to Palestine. The minister noted that he is working with Khuffash, who is currently in Ramallah, to facilitate his mission, expressing the hope that other embassies will be opened in Palestine.
