NLF holds rally against privatization

Karachi: The National Labour Federation of Pakistan arranged a rally against proposed privatization of state-run organization that marched from City Railway Station to Shaheen Complex here on Wednesday.

Central President of NLF Shams-ur-Rehman, Sectary General Sindh Nizamuddin Shah and President of Karachi chapter Khalid Khan addressed the rally.

The protesting labours raised slogans and displayed placard against the privatization, corruption and contract labour system.

Shams-ur-Rehman said that privatization of national institutes will not be acceptable at any cost. He said the government should appoint honest and capable administration in these organizations to make them profitable.

Prem Union leader Khair Muhammad Tunio warned the government that if the government failed to shelve the plan of privatization of Railway a wheel jam strike would be held from Karachi to Khyber.

The participants of rally demanded to stop the plans of privatization; otherwise, the next rally will be held in Lahore on 12th September.
