KARACHI: Secretary Information National People’s Party NPP Syed Zia Abbas on Thursday unveiled the manifesto of party for next general election with important points like eradication of militant wings of political parties, restoration of law and order, bringing economic prosperity, increasing tax network system, overcoming energy crises in two years and provision free education upto matriculation for every citizens in the country.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club. He further said independence judiciary and media, employment, eradication of difference between import and export, rehabilitation of national institutions like PIA, Steel Mills, PSO and SSGC and friendship with superpower on equality basis are the important points of the party.
While criticizing the government, Zia Abbas said that restoration of law and order is the responsibility of rulers but they had failed to deliver in this regard. He said if militant groups of political parties are not be eradicated from country as soon as possible then nothing is left in Pakistan. He demanded deweaponization drive across the country, particularly in Karachi.
He said any possible delay in general elections would further bring destruction for country, so the timely elections are only solution to all problems. He urged the media to support the election commission for eradicating the corrupt system from the country. He said bloodshed and attack on police stations are not the beauty of democracy.
He hoped that NPP would get good number of seats in Sind and as well in other parts of country and would form government with allied parties. He said, “We try to press our allied parties to implement our manifesto in letter spirit after coming to power”.
He demanded of the chief election commissioner to take action against transferring and posting of officers by the government and issuance of old dated fake appointment letters. He said no party would be able to form next government with single handedly.
Rahila Tiwana, Naeemur Rehman, Aziz Kohati, Mushtaq Awan, Aslam Gujjar and others were also present on this occasion.
