OIC condemns Boko Haram attack in Diffa, Niger

Jeddah, (UNA-OIC) – Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the despicable terrorist suicide attacks carried out in the city of Diffa in the eastern part of Niger in three different locations including a Qur’anic school on June 4 by Boko Haram extremists leading to the death of nine people and several others wounded.

The secretary general described the attacks as criminal and repulsive acts, and reiterated the OIC’s support for the leadership and people of Niger, in their determination to annihilate the terrorist group.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Niger and wished for speedy recovery of the wounded.

The Secretary General reaffirmed the OIC’s principled position that vigorously denounces all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
