Ombudsman Office to have Women Complaint Cell

Hyderabad: Ombudsman Sindh Asad Ashraf Malik has said that they would to establish a Women Complaint Cell at each Ombudsman Office to receive the complaints against the government departments/ organizations.

Addressing a one-day seminar and workshop on “Rights of Women and Complaints Redressal Mechanism” here Wednesday, he said his organization already has been running Child Complaint Cell with the help of UNICEF. “Now we are opening Women Complaint Cell to protect the women rights.”

He said that in addition to that his organization is already providing protection to the women against harassment to them at work place.

He said they have decided to open the office of Regional Ombudsman at each district headquarter.

Provincial Secretary for Ombudsman Saleh Farooqui, Waheeda Mahessar, President Sindh High Court Bar Association Hyderabad chapter Advocate Nisar Ahmed Durrani, Ghulam Nabi Morai, Amar Sindhu, Muhammad Akram Saeed, Prof. Rafique Ahmed Chandio and others also spoke.
