Pak army chief vows to continue war on terrorism

Islamabad (IINA) � Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa vowed to continue the war against terrorism with a view to eliminating terror groups and restoring durable peace and stability in the country.

Bajwa made the remarks during his participation in the funeral prayer of army personnel martyred in a suicide bomb blast in Quetta on Saturday. He said the terrorist acts will not affect the resolve and determination of the military to combat terrorism.

The chief of army staff stressed that the elimination of internal terrorism is a top priority for the Pakistani army, adding that development and success cannot be achieved without eliminating terrorism.
