Pakistan jumps to second place in ODI Rankings with 20 series win against WIJuly 29, 2013
Karachi: Pakistan, who whitewashed host and ICC World Twenty20 champion West Indies in a twomatch T20 series on Sunday, jumped to second place in the Reliance ICC T20I Rankings table.
Pakistan was standing at fourth place with 118 ratings points, but with the two back to back wins, Pakistan has now moved up to second place with 124 ratings points, thereby swapping places with secondplaced West Indies with 120 ratings points. The rankings are headed by Sri Lanka with 134 points.
Pakistan in the first T20 match chased a total of 152 runs with two wickets in hand and later successfully defended a modest total of 135 runs, recording an 11run victory to win the series 20.
Earlier Pakistan has also handed the host a 31 series defeat in the fivematch ODI series.
