PARACHINAR TWIN BLASTS: DEATH TOLL RISES TO 50

The death toll has risen to fifty in twin bomb blasts occurred in the crowded Tori Market Parachinar.

Sources of political administration Kurram Agency told our Peshawar correspondent that about two hundred people have also been injured in the blasts.

In Karachi, four police personnel were martyred in a firing incident at SITE area of the city.

According to SSP SITE, four attackers on two motorcycles opened fire on a police van.

Condemnations:

President Mamnoon Hussain has strongly condemned the terrorism in Karachi and Parachinar.

In a statement, he directed to provide best medical facilities to the injured and commiserated with the bereaved families.

The President said that in Karachi, police officials sacrificed their lives, while performing their duties.

He said the nation will always remember those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has also strongly condemned terrorist attacks in Toori Bazar, Parachinar on Friday and directed the concerned authorities to beef up security arrangements across the country in the wake of terrorist attacks.

He said terrorists are attacking soft targets and no Muslim can ever imagine committing such horrific act and such acts of terrorism will be dealt with full power of the State.

The Prime Minister, while expressing deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the attack, prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.

He also prayed for swift recovery of those injured in the terrorist attacks.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has also strongly condemned the twin blasts in Parachinar and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemning the terrorist attack on police party in SITE area of Karachi has ordered immediate operation to arrest the culprits involved in this heineous crime.

Murad Ali Shah has sought report of the incident from the IG Sindh.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also condemned the terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Spokesperson for the Secretary General in a statement has condoled with the bereaved families over the loss of precious lives.

He also expressed solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan and its efforts to fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
