KARACHI: Pasban Karachi has decided to launch mass mobilization campaign and hold a sit-in for lifting of ban on pillion riding in Karachi before holy month of Ramazan.

“Ulema, politicians, social workers will be taken on board in mass mobilization campaign to make the campaign successful.”

These views were expressed by Chairman Pillion Riding Action Committee Pasban Karachi Salman Nawab while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club. Vice Chairman Umeed Ali Qazi, Muhammad Ayub, Akbar Ali and others were also present on this occasion.

He said target killing of 15 to 20 innocent people was being continued in Karachi despite ban on pillion riding as the government had failed to maintain peace in the metropolis.

He said ban on pillion riding had put more financially burden on crises-stricken people. He demanded of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to lift the ban on pillion riding ahead of holy month of Ramazan so that people could take a sigh of relief, otherwise, Pasban would stage massive demonstration in front of the CM House on 21 July 2013.
