PCG seizes 100 kg hashish

KARACHI: Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) has seized a large quantity of fine quality hashish from Super Highway area near Northern Bypass, Karachi.

PCG officials received information from intelligence sources about smuggling of narcotics through Super Highway. A special mobile patrol was constituted for snap checking in the area. During checking, different vehicles were stopped at Super Highway near Northern Bypass Karachi.

PCG officials recovered approximately 100 kilograms of fine quality hashish from the hidden cavities of a Mazda truck coming from Quetta. Vehicle along with driver was taken into custody. Approximately value of narcotics in the international market is Rs 157 million.

Further investigation and legal process was under way by PCG special investigation team.
