QUETTA: Literate people, civil society, political parties leaders have to play their role to give awareness to young people about reproductive health and related matters. This was stated by Project Manager Adil Azhar, Project Coordinator Darryl Thomas and Media Coordinator Chaudhry Imtiaz at Media Sensitisation Meeting organized by Participatory Integrated Development Society (PIDA) here Sunday.

They said awareness is created among girls and boys at pre adolescent age about physical changes in their bodies under the project so that they may not involved in social ills by securing wrong information from internet and other sources.

They said students from class 7 to class 10 at different schools in Quetta have been imparted training in groups so that these children carry these information as master trainers to others and help stop ills in the society and save new generation from different social ills.

They said owing to educational backwardness and lack of awareness young generation is confronted with reproductive and other problems. Welfare organizations, media and others were busy in this connection which was yielding positive results. But it is necessary for awareness of the masses that essays should be part of curriculum and teachers and students should be imparted training and created awareness.

They said children form class 7 to 10 have to face difficulties due to physical changes taking place in their body which affects their studies and routine life matters. Parents, teachers and others from different walks of life should carry out work in this regard.
