Karachi: Joint Secretary, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh, Abdul Razzaq Bajwa, has demanded of Rangers high-ups to limit target operation to criminals and do not arrest any citizen without solid information.

He was addressing a press conference at Karachi press Club on Thursday after remaining in rangers custody for five days. Ayub Shar, Muhammad Anwer Gujar, Aslam Khan Khattak and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

Bajwa said that six days ago during a targeted action in PIB Colony, rangers personnel entered his house, violated sanctity and arrested him on the basis of wrong information.

“Rangers kept me under custody for five days, investigated and finally gave me clean chit but all this badly damaged my reputations as a politician and businessman,” he said, adding it was a big torment for his family as he was kept at an unknown place.

He said that they were supporting the targeted operation as it was vital for maintaining law and order in the city.

To a question, he admitted that forming a committee of notables to monitor the operation was imperative as the MQM had demanded.
