KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PMLN observed Salvation Day in Karachi by organising a ceremony at Muslim League House in Old Sabzi Mandi area here on Saturday to celebrate end of Pakistan People’s Party PPP tenure.

The ceremony was presided over by PMLN vice president Mohammad Anwar Gujjar. The party men offered prayers and distributed sweets amid happiness at the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, Gujjar termed the five-year tenure of PPP government as worst period of history and said Zardari group’s government had reached its end.

He said that how, those who came to power through the slogans of Roti Kapra aur Makan and even compromised with killers of Benazir Bhutto, could be true with people. The PPP did not have its own votes but it had only the votes of people’s sympathy with Benazir.

He said that PMLN flags are waving in Naudero, Larkana and other cities of Sind because of its rising popularity. The PMLN would hand Zardari group a massive defeat.
