PNSC inducts new carrier in fleet

KARACHI: PNSC has inducted a new Supramax Handysize Bulk Carrier MV Multan on its maiden call to Karachi Port. Chairman PNSC Vice Admiral R Muhammad Shafi, on a briefing visit to the vessel, appreciated the ship staff for maintaining the ship up to the international standards and stressed that vessel should be maintained and commercially fit to make profitable voyages all the time.

He also emphasized that unnecessary expenditures should be avoided during this crunch period where most of the shipping lines are making loss, meanwhile Executive Directors Brig. Rashid Siddiqi, Zaheer Babar Qureshi, Capt. Aftabuddin Siddiqi, Cdre. S.M Obaidullah along with Capt. Zahid Hussain and Lt. Col Ashad Anwar were also on board.

The bulk Carrier MV Multan is discharging 48,500 MT Bulk fertilizer imported by a Pakistani company, has deadweight 50,244 metric tonnes, Gross Tonnage 27,986 metric tonnes, draught 11.925 meter and breadth 32.26 meter. The Bulk Carrier was built in 2002 by Mitsui Engineering & Ship Building Co Ltd Tamano works Japan.
