Power outages flayed

Karachi: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Karachi Muhammad Hussain Mehanti on Monday showed his deep concern over continuous and unannounced load shedding in Karachi that made life of citizens miserable.

In a statement, he said hours long power outages and over billing in scorching heat had made the life of common men more difficult and also halt commercial activities in the city. He said traders were suffering huge financial losses due to unannounced load shedding but KESC administration was not taking any interest to resolve this issue.

Mehanti said continuous power breakdowns in residential areas had made the life of women, children and senior citizens too difficult. He further said preparation inter examinations by students had also been badly affected in this situation.
