NAUNDERO: Electricity remained off five hours due to heavy fog in feeder-1 from 5 am to 12 pm and 12 hours on feeder-2 from 5 am to 5 pm here on Sunday due to negligence of operation division as there was no staff posted.

The line staff was not available due to holiday to find and remove the fault. Line Superintendent Amanullah Brohi, who is posted here since last six years told PPI that he cannot work alone to find the fault and added that feeder-1 has been started where power is going on and the feeder-2 is spread in all the adjoining areas and villages of this town

hence it is very difficult for him to work with one lineman. Finally feeder-2 was restored at 5 pm which was closed at 5 am due to electricity load shedding.

SDO Ghaffar Abbasi did not attend any phone call despite repeated phones. Six hours load shedding is made daily here against the claim of federal minister who recently said that no power outage is made in the country. Worst affected were the housewives who usually wash clothes on weekends of their school going children as they were unable to wash due to extremely cold weather.

Feeder-1 is reserved for VIP people here and does not have much load whereas feeder-2 is for poor people who live besides the former President House and they pay their monthly bills regularly. This discrimination in power distribution must end, a 75-year old man said. PPI.
