PPPP emerges victorious in Mirpurkhas

Mirpurkhas, Sindh: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian PPPP remained victorious in the general election here.

PPPP candidate Pir Shafqat Shah Jilani got 81658 votes while his opponent, 10Parties Alliance candidate Syed Qurban Ali Shah got 40742 votes as per unofficial results. Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani on MQM got 34160 votes.

On NA227 PPPP candidate and husband of Faryal Talpur, Mir Munawar Ali Talpur defeated Syed Inayat Ali Shah of 10Parties Alliance with a comfortable margin. On NA228 Nawab Yusuf Talpur of PPPP beat vice chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

On PS64 elections were postponed due to death of a candidate. On PS65 PPPP man Syed Nawaz Ali Shah got more than 62000 votes while opponent Mufti Adil Latif of Muttahida Deeni Mahaz could secure 12000 votes.

On PS66 PPPP candidate Haji Hayat Talpur retained his seat for sixth consecutive time, defeating Pakistan Muslim League candidate Arbab Inayatullah son of Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim. On PS67 PPPP man Jameel Ahmed Khan Bhurgari got more than 39000 votes beating Mir Janullah Talpur of Pakistan Muslim League Functional. On PS68 Nawab Taimoor Talpur of PPP defeated independent candidate Dost Muhammad. On PS70 Syed Ali Mardan Shah of PPPP beat Qasim Siraj Soomro of PMLF.
